Dual Career Resources

Life & DC Connect is here to help you identify professional networking and career assistance in the private and public sectors, including K-12 education.  In addition to providing a unique personal approach of creating an action plan that addresses your career goals, we want to provide you with resources that currently exist that may assist you immediately. While Lehigh presents a number of strategies to address the dual career issues, the university cannot guarantee placement for faculty partners and spouses.

 Seeking​ faculty positions
 If you are seeking a position as a faculty member, the university maintains a list of recent faculty openings. Lehigh University is committed to responding to the needs of faculty who are dual career couples within the context of the university's mission and goals, college strategic plans, and available resources. Faculty partners and spouses are invited to apply for positions that match their credentials and career goals. 
 Seeking staff po​sitions
 If you are seeking a position as a staff member, the university maintains a list of the most recent available openings. If an appropriate staff position at Lehigh is not currently listed, you can work with the Life & DC Connect Project Manager for other staff opportunities (non-exempt and exempt, including research scientists) at Lehigh. 

HERC - set up your personal account

 

Lehigh University is a member of the NJ/Eastern PA/DE Higher Education Recruitment Consortium HERC.  This site is a collaborative response to the challenges facing dual career couples. It is specifically geared toward finding effective ways to assist you in securing employment and to address issues of faculty and staff diversity.  HERC is a web-based search engine that includes  faculty/academic, staff/administrative, and executive positions available at member institutions.   It provides various resources such as expert advice, webinars, and higher education career news.  As a member of HERC, we encourage you to set up your personal account, upload your resume, set up job alerts and to fully utilize the many HERC resources available.
