Cultural Transition

What is Cultural Transition?

While adjusting to a new position and community can be difficult for most new-hires, international newcomers to Lehigh University may experience additional difficulties adapting to an entirely new culture. The difficulties associated with this adjustment can generate a wide variety of reactions and feelings.

The cultural transition resources are available to familiarize newcomers with local culture, customs, traditions, government, health care, education and household information.

It also serves as a regional hub of information in terms of connecting people with local ethnic resources such as affinity groups, ethnic markets, restaurants and provides learning opportunities designed to meet the specific needs and interests of faculty and their families who are coming from outside the United States.

The University provides these resources for informational purposes only and assumes no liability in the provision thereof.
